I'm in a pickle and need advice. Long story, short: I need to live in my truck. I bought a used shell off Facebook and it's from an S10, so it doesn't fit right. I'm at wits end, this NEEDS to work!
The rails just seem to be in the way. I bought the correct clamps for the rail system, but they don't work since the shell isn't flush. If that rail wasn't there, I think I could make it work.
But how to remove it? I read other posts, but what about the bolts? I just don't seem to be able to upload a photo.
    Please help!

Try using ‘upload a file’ at the bottom of the text box to upload pictures.

not sure which rails you’re referring to. You say you have clamps for a rail system but you want to remove them. Pics will help a lot

Guessing the T-slot tie down rails that 2nd & 3rd gens have that stand out from the bedside. They should have screws/bolts inside the slot groove. Not sure what could be used to anchor another cap system with out those tracks though. Or possibly I'm off in thinking this is what OP is asking about.
