Remove the wind diffuser or keep it?

Here's what I could find for the '22 models on the website,

If you go to Toyota's website it's a bit trickier to find the MPG numbers for all the trim levels on a single page, but you can find the info and the numbers are slightly different from .gov's info.

Neither notes a difference in numbers for double cab vs access cab, but the .gov's website differentiates between a 4WD AT vs 4WT 6MT vs Pro/OR. So the short answer is, I'm even more confused with more data!

 

I think in reality the chin spoiler is more for appearance than actually affecting airflow to any significant effect. I would bet that anyone who drove a truck not knowing whether or not it was installed wouldn't be able to determine any difference.

 

The fuel economy numbers are probably just an average across all trim levels.
