Well I'm happy for both of us. Regardless of cost I am happy I have the truck that I absolutely had to have. Not because I needed it but I wanted it and made sure I got it. Cost isn't the problem. I have no problem affording it

Haha For sure, but they'll have to be slightly more intelligent to get anywhere with me.

I am thinking about removing the front air damn on mine once I get back home in a couple weeks but wanted to know if you have noticed an increase or decrease in MPG or no noticeable difference at all.

right away and didn't notice anything.

Well I haven't had time to really test it. But in the few trips I've made since doing it there hasn't been a notice

    Hey Op.

I had 1 loose bolt, plus missing one bolt. However I knew specifically it was the undercoating guy.

Secondly found rear wheel nut loose as well.

    Found it day after delivery

Went in, voiced my concerns very condescending to them, 'if I can't have you guys tighten a single skid plate how can I trust you to touch something more critical like my engine / driveline.' Plus a lot more words following. It was fun.

6 months later when I went back there, I found out that mechanic had a meltdown the next day and quit.

    So much truth.

TW has become a lot like social media sites. People just sitting around waiting to either pounce on somebody or get offended by something. Overly sensitive keyboard warriors with nothing better to do.

yeah man! never have I had to use the ignore feature on a site but here I find
myself doing it all the time, tired of seeing nearly every thread turn into a shit-storm
over nothing other than some seeming to want to do just that... it's like some jump
on the site just fuk up threads or crap on someone over a different opinion.

The internet has become a sanctuary for those who assume no fault whatsoever and those unwilling to appropriate blame when it's due. People tend to take the higher moral route on the internet as if theyve assumed some noble stance bound to them by god with equality in mind. As an example how dare I blame a Toyota employee or manufacturing company for it not tightening my bolts sufficiently. Apparently I'm being a bully for that.

I should have just called Toyota and said to them "hey, I discovered some things weren't done properly but I want to let you know that it's okay, I found it and I just want to let all of you know we all make mistakes and no one is blaming you, if you need a shoulder to lean on during this tough time you may be having finding out you didn't tighten my bolts im certainly here for you. We will get through this together"

As a side note I do want to point out that I think it's completely hilarious that this thread is sitting atop the front page of TacomaWorld, and I have landed myself as a well-known member in a mere few days of joining.

    @Spewed

To be fair....I think most of them were just kidding about the loose bolt thing. However panties wadded up quickly over the $40k comment. Not sure why. But it did :notsure:

But....per the original topic. I still say an oil change caused this and not the factory

Either way.....it shouldn't have been loose

Well, I agree but my implication was actually concerning those who acted like for nearly 40k I should expect a few loose ends, lol

I enjoyed those who told me to get rid of it. To demand a new vehicle, etc. that was kind of the point that I found humor in it. I guess that missed a lot of folks.
