That’s looking real good for a truck that used to be rusty. I live in the southeast, so never had to deal with a ton of rust. Have an 89 F250 and the frame on that is just surface rust all over, nothing structural at all. On my Tacoma, I had none at all until I took a few trips to Oklahoma and West Virginia to bird hunt during some seriously snowy weather. Neglected to wash it off and now starting to get a little bit of rust. Definitely going that have the truck fluid filmed now once everything is together.

I got everything painted and ready for install. Should hopefully have it buttoned up tomorrow!

got everything installed stage 2. No shims or anything for now. As for bump stops, the distance from bump to frame was right at/slightly under the compressed length of the shock, so I may put in some slightly taller bumps just to be safe, but I’m not super worried about it.

As for driveline issue, I haven’t really noticed anything. Would issues be very apparent? I had 0 vibes from 0-90 accelerating and decelerating, but there was maybe a slight humming noise around 60? Only seemed to happen in 3rd and wasn’t really happening in fourth so I think it may just be related to the engine. But I can’t decide if it’s from the driveline or if it was already there. It’s not super noticeable.

all that being said, the truck was pretty much unloaded for my test drive, no spare or floor jack I usually keep with me, only a few things in the toolbox that always stay with me, so I figure any of the slight issues should decrease as I load up and throw the camper shell on.

Here the lift. Quite a bit of rake but I believe it will settle and work out nicely when I have the topper and load the truck back down. If not I can always try option 1 again. There is a definite hum at 60 mph. But it just sounds like loud road noise or potentially tire wear? Maybe the driveline but the driveline but not sure. No noticeable vibrations though, so not sure what’s up with that. I don’t believe there is any grinding or anything but frankly I’m not sure what’s I’m listening for.
