Has anyone ever removed the portable ARB twin compressor and tank from their case and hard mounted to your vehicle? I need to get a compressor/tank now, but don't want to hard mount them until next year. Thanks.

    Should be easy enough

I had previously asked ARB, and they said the portable compressor "had slightly different parts, and hard mounting was not recommended."

It's hard mounted in the case.. The only difference would be to change the air line linking the tank to the compressor to fit your mounting space.

Sounds like ARB just wants you to buy another pump, lol...

I can see it if the pump wasn’t sealed or weather proofed like one designed to go under the hood or the bed or something, but seems like all you’d need to do is unbolt in from the box, and make a couple brackets to mount it where ever you want. u de the hood is good, except for the heat, so maybe make some heat sheilding for it.

I’m actually looking to do the same thing. Did you ever have any luck with this?
