Removing decals from side of truck

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    yes, if you run it too fast it overheats and the post will come out of the eraser so go slow and steady at low rpms only like 1/4 speed

    I'm the OP of this thread. Wanted to follow up saying I bought the AES Industries 4" Smart Eraser Pad from Amazon. And it worked! On my 19 year old Tacoma, trying to remove the side stripes with heat/scrape/peel was just not working. The Eraser pad took some getting used to, but got the job done.

    It takes a while to get the angle of the pad correct, and not freak out you are grinding this wheel into your truck body. If I were doing the job again I'd go straight to the Eraser Pad. I think the truck looks much better without the "fake mud splash" decals. So does my son, who is getting the truck in a few months.
