Removing Flares?

    Ok so tomorrow I plan to paint my fender flares black and I wanted to know how hard is it to remove the flares? I tried pulling on it a little, but I didnt want to break anything. Any advice on removing them?

    Well I switched out my fenders with some bushwackers. Idk if its the same for 1st and 2nd tacos but taking off the fenders were really easily. Just gotta pull hard and let them pop off gotta becareful tho since your gonna put them back on they clips in the back are a little fragile.

    You can also just mask off the truck and paint them on there. Use a thin hard plastic to tuck between the flare and the body and then mask with tape and news paper. Paint away...and then pull all the mask when you are done.

    Well first I removed all of the bolts attached to the fenders. Then I took one end and pulled it back with enough force to pop out one of the little pins, and then I carefully pulled out each one and none of them broke. Then repeat the process for the others.

    There is actually a masking tape available that has a hard edge on one side made specifically for tucking it in behind a panel. I can't remember what it's called though. I saw it on a tv show. I can't recall which series but the episode was like "Second Chance Silverado" or something like that.
