Thanks! yeah there was a paper that came with the lights that said that condensation is "supposed" to happen because of the ventilation system that the headlights use? is there any truth to that at all or what?

No, that's bs.....I've done an fxr retrofit, and multiple bhlm....I've NEVER had a light fog on me....ask cayucous tacoma, or asian ants

For these spyder style like u have, id take em back out......run a thick bead of GE silicone II around the seam where the front half meets the back half.....use a piece of plastic bag on ur 2 fingers and use that to PUSH the silicone in the gap.....u will be able to see the silicone get in the gap, just by watching through the clear portion of the light housing.

Use PLENTY of silicone....once the light is on the truck, u will never see the seam/edge again....its covered by the grill, fender, bottom trim piece, and hood.

If in doubt, look at ur trucks lights right now with the hood closed.....u wont see much if any of the seam.

Condensation should NEVER be expected imho

I think those ebay and cheaper (no offense, honestly) manufacturers/sellers use that disclaimer of condensation being normal to cover their ass, when the truth is that they use minimal amounts of window weld ribbon to seal the lights.

I agree. I sealed my headlights with a lot of the silicone and shot it with water to ensure no gaps. Everyone does this when they do retrofits so there definitely should not be condensation.

seal it once correctly and dont have to go through the hassle of clearing fog/condensation!

might be more work for some, but if you have your lower bumper off, you can see the hidden screw in plain view and easy to remove :p
