So I would like to paint my mesh insert in the hood scoop of my Tacoma. I tried taking it out from under the hood undid all the 10 mm nuts and it didn't move jammed in tight. I'm not sure what else to do at this point. Has any one done this I googled and searched the site and found nothing really useful. I blacked out my truck and would like to get the insert all painted black and then then paint the trd logo in center.

Should I use a high heat paint? I have some and figured I should.
I really wanna avoid doing this on my truck I can but just a pain and got to be super careful

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated Thanks

Just a bunch of old crap
After you undo the nuts, give it a bump with the palm of your hand from underneath and it should just pop out. I took mine out and painted it a while back. Once the nuts were loose, it came out pretty easily.
