Took mine off week or so ago and installed a TRD Skid plate. Just made a 40 mile, mostly freeway trip and came it at 26.7 which is about what I remember getting with the dam on the same trip. I know the dam must make some difference or Toyota (or must other truck brands) wouldn't put them on there. But my guess is it is far less than 1 mpg and probably won't be noticeable unless you go on a long highway trip. Like several hundreds of miles. Perhaps the rear spoiler and tiny fin on the mirrors contribute more. :notsure:

I lost maybe 10 miles to a tank. Removed it to put on streamline front bumper and front skid.

I like the pro skid too but I dont really get all the "hate" for the air dam... I'm pretty indifferent about it myself and prefer to just keep it on..

I haven't seen any loss in MPG after taking the hideous air dam off. Good riddance.

It's all personal preference. If you like it, leave it. If you don't, take it off. If you're not sure take it off, but keep track of the bolts.

Removed mine yesterday, and pulled the clip nuts off too. Haven't noticed any difference yet. Was really easy. Mostly city driving around 18.5mpg.
