Removing oil pan on 4cyl

    I've actually done this and it's a royal pain in the ass.

    Although I can't say removing the engine is any easier. Good luck.

    2005 Tan Tacoma Base 5 LUG: Beaten , abused and still running strong.
    Fat Bobs 2.75 lift and level with short AAL, 16x8 Level 8 Guardian Wheels, 245/75R16 Toyo Open Country ATII, custom trans shift kit(home made), Trans temp. and Vac gauge, URD fuel pump upgrade(going back to stock soon).
    Impact gun and a torch if it doesn't come off. Toyota exhaust manifold studs are very good quality for holding the collector together but don't like coming off after oxidizing. As you obviously found out.

    Just about ready to come out! Stay tuned! Also...any preventative maintenance I should do while the engine is out? Putting a brand new oil pan on and want to make sure the timing cover isn't leaking. Anything else?20160811_154406.jpg
