Removing plastic tail gate cover/top?

    2020 Tacoma SR5 v6 crew cab
    I am trying to take the Plastic top cover off the top of my 2020 Tacoma tailgate to install a full time backup camera.... I took the screws out, but don't know what is holding the top on.... any help would be appreciated...

    From what I remember it’s just clips that are built into the tailgate top. I just pulled a little bit at a time up and down it and eventually it came off.

    FSM procedure attached. Note that the plastic nuts the screws go into strip very easily so when you reinstall don't use power tools and don't crank on them. If you're trying to get into the interior of the tailgate where the factory camera is, you don't have to remove the top cover, just the screws. The cover for the main part of the tailgate just unscrews and slides out.

    Clips hold them in. Speaking of torx bolts, two of the bolts that hold in the metal frame piece at the front of the bed behind the window came stripped from the factory lol
