removing shifter knob?

    im tring to take the plastic cover off that goes around the transmission knob. i have an automatic prerunner so i dont have the leather that i can pull it through to get it off. any help?

    You should be able to twist it off...

    na it has the overdrive on off switch in it so i know it wont twist off.

    There should be a couple screws in it.. if I remember correctly. I'll have too look after. I get off work.. why does it need to come off?

    i know there are a couple screws in the plastic piece but how to get the shifter knob off. Im taking it off and several other things to paint it black. I cant look at the link yet cuz im in school and they block everything but ill check it out after. Thanks!
