removing side vents

    Is there a writeup on how to remove these? I don't like the way they look

    Sunroof, Leer Cap w/ Thule rack, Factory Running Boards, Fog Light Mod, Hood Struts, Scangauge, w/homemade mirror mount, AC/Defrost mod, Rear Spring TSB, TRD Center Caps
    If you are talking about the whole section, they are part of the grill. If you remove (cut) them, you would have an empty space/hole there.

    If you are talking about just the inner part, I guess you could cut it out, but again, you would have an empty hole there.

    As far as I know, no one has done it.

    I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
    people have done it, i don't know how. Check the BST forum. theres a RR satoshi grill floating around in there that has the side vents removed.

    Yep.
    ^exactly, only way to remove/change those is too cut them out and attach different grill material just like the satoshi, so if you plan on doing a satoshi pick up a little extra material and give it a shot.

    fwiw, the material i ordered when i did my satoshi was more than enough to do the whole grill and side vents.

    nice, have my grill ready just waiting for the Grillcraft mesh to show up. supposedly it will be here mon, cant wait. maybe i'll pick up some mesh at home depot or something this weekend and do the vents... hmmm.

    If you do the side vents, get gutter guards as the mesh. I walked every aisle in lowes and home depot 3 times looking for anything i could use as a smaller grate mesh. Found gutter guard material to be perfect but it was only sold in gutter size strips. One strip oughta do you well.
