Removing Skidplate Entirely?

    hey ya'll. the skidplate on my truck is rusted to death and i was wondering if i can just remove it and what i would be risking by doing so. i dont do any real off roading and at this point its just in the way when i change my fluids. any thoughts?

    I didn't noticed mine was missing until after I had purchased my truck. I will replace it if I can find one for a reasonable price.

    96greengoblin not sure where you are located in michigan but you can have mine if you want to come pick it up. Just have to make sure I still have it, but its in good shape. I dont think it made it into the scrap dumpster yet. its off an 01 not sure if they are the same.

    Just do what you want. I see no absolute point in the skid plate on road. If you see a reason, by all means, put one on.
