Removing Skidplate Entirely?

hey ya'll. the skidplate on my truck is rusted to death and i was wondering if i can just remove it and what i would be risking by doing so. i dont do any real off roading and at this point its just in the way when i change my fluids. any thoughts?

 

or get a new stock one. Post a wanted thread on here, Im sure someone will have one lying around.

 

I didn't noticed mine was missing until after I had purchased my truck. I will replace it if I can find one for a reasonable price.

 

96greengoblin not sure where you are located in michigan but you can have mine if you want to come pick it up. Just have to make sure I still have it, but its in good shape. I dont think it made it into the scrap dumpster yet. its off an 01 not sure if they are the same.

 

If you don't offroad, You don't need it, period.

 

thats a lie actually... shit can pop up off of the road and hit shit that the slid plate was covering up for a reason

Just do what you want. I see no absolute point in the skid plate on road. If you see a reason, by all means, put one on.
