On my 2 door 06 white Tacoma ,at the lower front panel area ,on bed, on one side ,there is some type of a weird film that's spotty still there. What is the best way to remove it? Gonna get my pics.
Regular wax or scratch out didn't touch it..
Same area as that decal pic ..
    Thanks

Peel it off. Heat gun will make it easier.

If ur talking about the glue residue left from the clear protection film , I've had luck with a cleaner wax and terry cloth towel, over and over.... if u still have the paint protection film on there that will have to come off first then clean her up. After a while dirt gets trapped behind that PPF a d really shows on white. Hope this helps.

    Just went thru this.
May peel paint, body shop peeled my paint.
I did the other side and went perfectly.
    Heat gun on low.
    Peel outer layer.
Use rapid remover(worth every penny)from Amazon.Dont waist your time or money on other crap.
Spray it on,dwell one minute and scrape with plastic razor blade.(Amazon)
    Go slow
    Wipe clean

Yea that residue like stuff steelcity was talking about where it seemed to have embedded or gotten under the clear coat is what I have .-a 4 inch tall by about 10 inches wide area .. ..
Hmm rapid remover..I'll check it out..
So, I may try the heat gun a tad..will it make it gooey where I can easily scrape it? an not ruin the main finish ?
I got wd40 too but not sure on that ..
    Thanks

I told you what to get from experience.
I would not have shared it if it didn’t work.
Use the heat gun to much and you will be repainting.
Dont make it harder than it is.

Turtle Wax makes a spray sticker remover. I used that, a plastic razor blade and then used cleaner wax to finish.
