There’s a trip screen and historical screen. The trip screen updates every time you turn off your truck. The historical updates when you tell it to. I usually hit update at the start and end of trips. I’m not sure how accurate it is but it’s probably decent. I’m a borderline data nerd so I like playing with the app haha.

Does anybody know if the trd off road valance will bolt right on a trd sport? Planning on getting rid of my sport valance for the off road that's why

Taking it off does NOTHING to effect gas mileage. Mine is off and mileage is 21 mpg+. Don't believe the bull about 2 mpg.

If you're talking about the center portion which is painted on the sport and grey on the offroad, then yes, you can directly swap them. All the parts on the front are interchangeable between sport and offroad

Mine has dropped between 1 and 2 mpg since removing the air dam. And yes, I track mpg, and it's pretty clear with the before and after.

If the air damn has that much effect on mpg then that means the sports get 2mpg better than the offroad or pro versions? I took mine off and don't see any difference. Once you put larger tires and a lift on your truck, your mpg takes a hit anyways. I feel like the air damn would be useless if you no longer have the front rake and are lifted higher off the ground. The air is going to travel under your truck if you have it on or not. Just my two cents.

I believe Toyota lists the MPG the same.

I think the sports are listed as 1mpg higher. I agree with what other people said about noise...I'm sure it helps with that at high speeds. Also with mpgs when going over 65. It's definitely not useless but it's also not much of a difference since more than half of the Tacoma's don't have them anyways.

I just double checked on Toyota's website and they are listed exactly the same. 18/22 for Automatic Double Cab 4x4 and 17/20 for Manual Double Cab 4x4. Maybe you came across a Sport 2 wheel drive Access Cab listing 1 MPG better.

When I made my purchase on 1/1/19, and when comparing models I noticed a Off Road model or two being listed around 1-2 MPG less than the Sport I got from the dealership's lot to choose from.

I assume there was a reason for it, as in a feature/add on that may impact MPG understandably.

What number is listed on your window sticker and what number did you see listed on the Off Roads? I just double checked directly on Toyota's website and they both are showing the same MPGs for the same configurations

Correct. They have the TRD pro skid which looks good and does not allow the valence to be used. Looks mallish with it on.

Taking it off will open the door for skid plate options.

was told just yesterday that it directs air into engine/area`s and taking it off may cause overheating issues....with trd sport`s. so not true?
