Does anyone know how to remove the glass from electric side view mirrors on an 2006? I have the whole mirror and attachment taken off and most of it taken apart. I have removed most of the bolts and popped 3 of the 4 clips off the hold the glass onto the assembly in the mirror. It looks like the 4 little tab that needs to be slid out has a metal piece beside it holding the glass to the assembly still. I don't know how to remove this or what I need to do. I need to get to the three bolts under the mirror glass to remove the whole assembly. I am getting my mirrors painted and want to take everything out of them besides the outer shell.
