Zero idea if it’s gonna work, but my wife has some leftover vinyl for her Cricut. I’m gonna try just cleaning the mud flap and then laying this vinyl over it and cutting it out with an Exacto knife. Figure it’s worth a try!

I used Krylon Fusion about a year ago and it has held up fine. Like others said, scuff with sandpaper, clean with alcohol, mask with tape and fire for effect.

Cut about 4” off the mudflap. hold that piece up and traced the radius on bottom of mudflap. cut those and smoothed edge of the cut. 36973EDA-9987-445C-A1F0-A32720800EE6.jpg

If someone wants to repaint them I'd look at white FlexSeal paint like you see advertised on TV. The stuff is tough and flexible.

That said, the flaps on my 2007 broke off after 3 years in 2010. I pulled what was left off and trashed it and never looked back. After 227,000 miles; much of it on dirt/gravel roads, I still don't have any paint damage from rock chips. I still haven't figured out why they even put them on trucks.
