NOTE: I have a 2020 4Runner, but wanted to also ask here as I assume things are very similar, and you guys may also know about removing these connectors :)

I'm working on installing the OEM Audio Plus amplifier under the passenger seat. I took this photo:

Removing the yellow + white connector was easy enough, but I cannot for the life of my get the grey one off (why must they all use different style connections!?)

Some of the install stuff I've seen also mention REMOVING the white connector piece from the metal frame, which would absolutely make my next step of tightening a nut a lot easier... but I also cannot seem to remove this piece? It wiggles but any type of pulling does not want to peel it off... obviously don't want to force anything and break something because I'm not even sure how it's secured.

    Any help with these pieces?

There are little tabs on the top side that click into place. You need a 90-degree pick tool or something to get to that tab to press it in, then the connector slides off.

for that grey connector, it unplugs exactly how you think it does. They’re just a really tight fit.

Also, be sure to leave the batter disconnected until the yellow connectors are plugged back in. Those are airbag wires and it will trigger all sorts of warnings in the computer system that the dealer will usually have to clear (which they won’t do without inspecting the connectors, which they charge handsomely to do)

I ended up being able to tighten the nut I was trying to access without removing the connectors... so I basically made it no further than before. I give up on removing them - at least I was able to do what I needed with them still there (It wasn't easy though!)
