I like to keep an open mind on these situations.

That being said, if Relentless Fab went twice over his projected time and didn't make what was asked, OP should get his money back.

I can understand if the manufacture would ignore the OP if he is talking in all caps and sending such demanding emails.

Those saying not to air out dirty laundry, I'm not defending the OP, but if he is not getting a response, this may be his next step to getting heard/reply.

My hope is that we actually get to hear the other side of the story before this thread gets locked. As was mentioned on page 2, this isn't the first thread of it's kind regarding relentless. The last one got out of control and locked before Eric was able to respond IIRC.

What I see here is one side of the story first hand (from the OP), and then a bunch of people jumping to Eric's defense without any first hand info. Exactly the same as the last thread. I hope that Eric can respond himself so that folks can form their own opinions about this situation at hand.

I highly doubt he responds. He has no reason to.

If this is legit, it may end up in court. I'm not sure where each of these individuals live though. $1,000 may not be worth it.

His bumpers were designed to fit a Toyota Tacoma and are not mass-produced. They're pieced together by a metal worker. To me, that's custom fabrication...

Oh, and it's check once you get south of the boarder. :D

    Agreed.
It's 2 sided. But it is early.
I see no problem calling out Eric in a pub forum. Sounds like the op had a legitimate request for a "custom" bumper that was not to his liking. He's putting Relentless on blast expecting a rebutle from eric.
Sounds like he met him, asked him to build something and it wasn't to his liking. Asked him to changed it and it wasn't built "custom" to his specs.

Let's hear the other side of the story before jumping to conclusions.

If it actuallt takes 3 weeks, he is thoroughly incompetent. It wouldnt even take that long to design it - one week max.

Without templates and jigs to produce these, one would have to be an itiot. With them, 1 hour per unit for all the metal work. If ther is a lead time of 3 months, then he is in way over his head and BADLY NEEDS to hire more people.

check = verify / inquire. not money.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
That sucks, did you pay by cc. Maybe take it up with them? Either way thanks for posting

Edit, probably should have read that you paid via check before I posted. Good luck resolving the situation.

I'm with you, it sounds like he's incredibly busy and maybe does need more people. The lead times on his products seem to be the only negative feedback, usually once the product arrives his customers are very happy with the results.

Cheque = Check in American English, we're streamlining and hate Q's and U's :D

In the US it is spelled "check". Also as stated before, Relentless fab is a one man shop. This is not his full time job, this is a part time thing he does for TW. I do agree that 7 months is unreasonable. The major shops down here (i.e. Demello) are around a month out on products iirc.

Another thread about a shitty experience from Relentless? I am in no way surprised. For you "team Eric" people, after sharing my experience on here I had a hand full of people PM me with the same problems. I'm sure eric is a good guy as the fan boys like to point out, but the company's business plan sucks balls.

Given your obvious expertise, please post photos of your fabricated items and welding projects along with times that it took to make each.

Also, by all means continue to reinforce your self-centric view of the world by criticizing others for not sharing your Canadian dialect.

Why is this in off-topic? Shouldn't it be located where people who want reviews on the product can find it? Like in the relentless forum? :notsure:

It was in 2nd Gen originally so I moved it to Stocks & Investing. I'll find someplace else for it. :p
