Whats up guys. First ever build thread, wanted to keep a portfolio of my truck and hoping to help others out. I'll try and keep it simple, this isn't going to be some crazy truck build with 42's and 21" of travel. My goal with this truck is to have a light-moderate trail rig. Go shooting, exploring, camping, and not have to stress if there's a possibility of snowfall, or a tricky little rock section.

    2011 DCSB OFF-ROAD
    Purchased 2/24/17- 102,xxx miles. paid $23,000 OTD

First thing I did was peel the stock TRD bedside stickers and add some matte black ones I bought off eBay. Then, to fit in with 90% of my fellow Taco owners, I had to add the small american flag sticker under the side mirrors haha

Here's a sikkk stock flex pic lol

Bought a used Soft Topper from Mike on here(don't know your name on here lol), mainly for my dog, and it will come in handy on long road trips with rain.

Read alot about tire rub on the cab mount with 285's. So I chopped the body mount.
    *UPDATE*
-Kicking myself in the ass for cutting first then getting tires. 285's would have cleared the body mount just fine. So I spent 4 hours working in 100 degree heat collecting metal dust on myself for no real need haha.
-I was rubbing the plastic inner fender lining turning into a driveway. I used an angle grinder to trim it off, problem solved. Only spot I rub now is on the front of the inner fender at full lock. I rarely ever hear or feel it rub so I'm leaving it.

Bought some new UCA's from "CWF offroad". Super nice and cheaper than TC's, icons ect. I love the look over tube'd arms.

Throwing the lift on. 5100's, old man emu 885 springs, CWF upper control arms, and the driver side got the classic 1/4" spacer for the infamous taco lean(part # TP14). Sway Bar delete mod.

Forgot to take pics of the rear. It was 105 degrees when i installed the lift. When I got to the rear of the truck, I was in survival mode. Didn't take any pictures, sorry guys.

    Rear of the truck got:
    -Icon AAL
    -Icon 2.0 w/ resi shocks

Here's the truck after the lift and mudflap delete mod- almost kept them on just for the haters

Finally had a day off and headed down to Americas tires to get my rims wrapped.

Truck is night and day different to drive now. Bilstein's made a HUGE improvement! Happy I went with the 285's. Almost bitched out and went with 265's, woulda hated the look. The truck cruises better on the freeway, just below or right around 2k RPM's now. Mileage wise, I think I lost 1.5mpg with the wheels/tires. I was averaging between 290-310miles per tank stock, the last 2 tanks I've gotten 270-280miles, also taking into account that my speedo/mileage is slightly off now due to tire size.

Also want to note what a huge difference the AAL pack made. When the truck was stock, I would get a pretty gnarly "clunk" or "thud" when I'd come to a complete stop, felt like you barely got tapped from behind. Then while accelerating from a stop I'd get another harsh "clunk". I figured it was axle wrap, but wasn't sure. After installing the AAL, problems completely gone. Truck feels nice and solid now.

Here she is in her current state. Couldn't be happier

Had to take the topper off for the full effect.

    Future plans:
-Build a sleek set of sliders w/ no kick out, something very mild
-Build a "prerunner" style front bumper utilizing the stock bumper still. Would love to hide a winch back there
-Hard Top if i can find a matching used one
    -Sport hood

All criticism welcome. New to Taco's, so school me if there's any preventative maintenance I should do. Already did plugs, air & cabin filters, serpentine belt, oil(obviously) and replaced the carrier bearing. Thanks

Looks good dude. I also have the icon AAL and it works very well so far for what I have needed to for. Did you leave the overload in or take it out? I left mine in, hence I still have a rake.

I bought it used off of a member on here. I love it, keeps the dogs shaded and is light enough my GF can help me set it on and off.

I took my over load leaf out, I was hesitant at first, but now I'm glad I did because the truck is perfectly level.

    Thanks man!
