I'll be there! I'm kinda interested in your Toyo's too.

    But for now...
If anybody is interested before I put these in the Buy/sell/Trade area...
I've got four 3rd gen 4runner limited rims for sale with center caps and more than a full set of stock lug nuts. Will take $200 for them. Tires are shit.

It's been quiet around here lately. I'm thinking about rounding up parts for an on board air setup. I can get a Viair 444c compressor and a 5 gallon tank from a buddy for $200 and Wheelers sells all of the individual pieces to hook them together for $80. With this setup I would be able to run air tools....not sure how efficiently and fill the 5 gallon tank from 0-150 psi in about 4 minutes. I like the idea of OBA because it can all be installed under the truck/inside a bed side bin as opposed to a co2 tank taking up space in the bed when storage space is a premium out camping and whatnot. Also it seems like a really good deal. Thoughts?

I've been contemplating OBA for awhile.. But I think I will end up with a Co2 set up like Eric's.

I prefer CO2, but ideally i'd run both so that there's a backup should you run out of CO2
A 10lb CO2 tank really isnt that big, and will do a 20psi bump on a set of 35" tires 4 times on a fill and, in under 40 seconds per tire. It'll do your set of 33's 5 times, and only takes 30 seconds a tire.
Last time Matt and I ran slickrock I aired up all 4 of my tires from 10-30psi and then did 2 of his in the time he did 2 on his truck with his Viair compressor. For speed, you really cant beat CO2.

The cost is why I am thinking of doing the oba first, my buddy has a hookup through a company that deals mostly with bagged Audis and whatnot and is replacing his tank and has a spare pump. I figure if I can get this setup first then do co2 down the road.

I made my CO2 setup for under $200 just FYI.

Yeah I know I can put together CO2 for cheaper, but if I wanted OBA down the line I'd probably have a hard time finding the compressor and tank for a better deal. What kind of regulator did you get for yours?

I just got the fixed pressure regulator from Wheelers. Also, if I were to do OBA, i'd rock an ARB compressor. The dual compressor kicks ass! 6.16CFM. Even the high-flow ckma12 single compressor puts out over 2CFM(about the same as a 400 series Viair)

I looked at that as well. If I find a cheap tank I'll probably do both....being over prepared isn't a bad thing haha.

    Exactly.
If you end up wanting an ARB compressor let me know and I'll hook you up with a good price.
