Sweet. Wish I could have gone yesterday, but had to put in some hours with the wife for our anniversary...considering she's put up with my shit for 11 years now.

Do any of you guys mess around with chains in the winter? Just curious really, I've never had to think about it

I have a set but they are mostly a last resort, normally our trucks in four wheel drive so pretty well on the winter roads.

Same here. I have a set of the RUD Grip-4x4 chains, but I've never used them other than to make sure they fit. They just sit in my truck toolbox this time of year "just in case".

Jason (and other guys with LT), what's your opinion on LT setups for rear? The DMZ kit seems to be most popular on TW. With the exception of 4 link, what route would you recommend? Off-the-shelf kit, custom? I do plan on weld-in bed cage with 16/18" bypasses.

For second gens...DMZ all the way. No questions or compromises about it. That kit takes all the guesswork out of shackle & hanger placement, spring cycling, and general fuckery. In addition, the kit retains an inverted shackle (mucho bueno for uptravel) so you're not reinventing the wheel with un-dovetailing the frame. Kit comes with Deaver springs which IMO is the best you can buy in the leaf spring world. DMZ is probably more known for Toyota builds than any other shop on the market. They know their shit.

4 link brings things up to a whole other level. Link geometry, fuel cell, backhalf, and unless you're more of a retard than me, pretty much dictates a bumper to bumper cage. Once you go down that route, you've got a race truck, not a hobby.

 Thanks! Think I'll plan for DMZ kit then, until my addiction worsens and I do go full race truck...:)

On reflection, I was thinking a black sharpie would have been nice to correct his "SLCKS" license plate. A simple vertical line added to the "L" would've done it.

No but now that I think about it, I saw that truck parked all fucked up when I was there last week. What a douche! I used to carry a valve stem puller in my truck for special occasions, I think this park job would be worthy.
