Reno and surrounding areas: Official spotted, BS, and meets thread

Yeah, she was an amazing dog. The story is:
My ex-gf found her while at Starbucks on Greenback at Sunrise as a stray. She had horrible teeth, and you could tell she'd been "on the streets" for a while, but was very well behaved. The renal house we were in at the time didn't allow pets, but she brought the dog home anyway. The dog was chipped, and we contacted the previous (known) owner. We were told that she ran away (from Las Vegas) 3 years prior, at 6 months old, and one of their kids had moved out, and the other one had no interest in getting their dog back. We ended up keeping her, and my ex named her Valentine. Well, the ex and I split paths, and I ended up keeping the dog. I always despised the name Valentine, but never could decide on a proper name, so everyone just called her Pups or Puppers, or Puppy. Eventually, Puppy became her official name. Puppy and I stayed together through thick and thin for about 13 years after she was found. She passed away just after Christmas of 2016, but kept true to her name up until the end.

This coming Tuesday March 6 is a low cost vaccination clinic at Animal Services on Longley. First Tuesday of every month. They give out free microchips, if anybody's doggo gets loose Animal Control will bring it straight home if they can get a hold of a owner or alternate contact.

But speaking of personal Pizza's.... you guys been to Mod Pizza down there by Kietzke/South Virginia st? Love that place!

 

Many times! Usually hit them up at Portland’s airport before flying back here too. Good price and great pizza.

 

I’ve always wanted to check it out but haven’t yet. Definitely will though! I really liked Black Rock Pizza but I think they’re in the process of moving still. Blind Onion is pretty good too, they’ve got some crazy combos haha

 

I used to like going to Pub n Sub for pizza back when KRZQ had their "Shred Night". Always walked away full and carrying swag.

I don’t know how it is in town right now but out in Cold Springs it’s snowing some BIG snowflakes, and lots of wind. Great weather for working outside
