Anyone local need a factory receiver off a 2nd gen? I'll post a classified ad tomorrow but I'm thinking $100.

Wasn't it just in the 70s? This is spring weather even if it's not even spring yet.

I actually was sooooo ready for spring. And then winter finally showed up. I've used my snowblower twice this year (including this morning)...both were in March.

Ditto. Lived in NV long enough to not get tricked by Winter/Spring - but it gets ya every year

Nice weather doesn't usually show up until June, you know, after the annual Memorial Day snowfall. Then we get more snow on July 4th.

I've had to leave my travel trailer on Memorial Day because there was too much snow to get it out.

How crappy is 395 between here and Bishop when there is snow? Supposed to drive down Friday night...

Ehh. Most the time it’s fine. There can be a gnar section though Mammoth depending on how bad the weather gets. The reality is there is only one highway and a few popular side streets with a pretty impressive snow removal unit. And it’s a single state, single county, and single area all under the same management with all the same radio frequency. That in itself is favorable. The same distance of roadway in Tahoe could be four different counties and two states. I’ve made it to mammoth in less time it took me to get to Northstar with the same roadway conditions.

That's what I figured and looking at the forecast it's inches and not feet so I'm hoping the drive isn't too bad. Last time we came through there with any weather I was so hopped up on pain pills I don't really remember it other than having to stop once somewhere between Bishop and Mammoth for me to puke then again a few miles later so my wife could puke....chemo'd out passenger and pregnant driver make for a crappy road trip team.

I find that Spring shows up just long enough to let you leave over the pass and then Winter returns like Gandalf on your way back
    [IMG]
I can't count the number of times that's happened. I will say I've never been turned away on 395 North or South.

O yeah my glock is in. I go do my paper work today then 10 day wait and I will have her. I hate the time it takes but I deal with a nice local business and he takes care of me. Can not wait to get out and shoot. New to handguns so it should be fun. Next step is to jump through a million hoops to see about the ccw.
