It can be less expensive but he should build his own because it is a great way to get to know the platform and picking out the parts is fun.

I agree on assembling your own. Unless you're like I am and it takes you months to put one together because you're so damn indecisive. The upside to that is once you get one together, you will have almost enough parts to put another one together.

I live in cali. I cant do shit. I do not know but I assume I could not buy the parts. I tried to do this before on a website and then they woulnt ship because I live in cali. Also ar's in cali have new laws and have to have the new magazine shit. If I did not live here I would def just build my own. I am not worried about money factor. I could spend 1 to 1500 if its quality stuff. I do not like to buy cheap shit.

    ...too much shit to list.
I can help you through the legalities if you need it. What it boils down to is the lower is the only thing that has a serial number and the bit that CA considers an "assault" weapon. My advise to you is to have your gun shop guy just sell you the lower (LPK, stock, and whatnot is up to you if you want to get it from him) and buy/build your own upper. Personally I'm a fan of BCM for uppers.

I will see when the time comes. He had one he just build that was really nice. He said that build was 1200. I am leaning towards him doing it just to have something solid. Then maybe on the second one I could build from what I learn from owning one. I wnt lie the current climate in the country is scaring me into making purchases asap. My thoughts are if they get anything it will def be enough to start the slippery slope. I want to at least have a solid line up encase things do get out of hand. I hate living with that mind set but I do a lot of research and also history shows how things tend to go. You kinda can see it unfolding now.

Diaz is good, but he goes way too deep on podcasts, to the point where he rambles about his past. I still love him as a comic but his podcasts get old.

When it comes down to it, most stuff comes from the same place anyway, it just has different names stamped into them. 90 percent of lowers are the exact same, so that shouldn't matter, but like SKIDOOMAN said, its fun picking out your own stuff. My AR is a YHM lower, with a DPMS 16" upper, dressed up with Magpul accessories. If you cant tell, Im a Magpul Fanboy. Their stuff is awesome and functional. If I had the money, I would probably have a VLTOR upper though. Its nice when you build your own because like SKIDOOMAN said, you will almost have enough parts to build another by the time you are done. If you go to the gun shows, you can pretty much pick out what you want on an upper anyway and get one built for about 600 dollars, unless you start looking at the expensive stuff. Im looking at building a 20" upper for my AR right now. After I get that together, it will be time for me to build my AR-10. I need a bigger safe before that happens though. The one I have is full.

I just built (assembled) a rifle for $400. $50 lower, $300 assembled upper with BCG, $50 Magpul stock. I could have done it for $350 with the stock it came with. Just need to get an optic for it. It’s not super high end but it’s quality. AR parts are dirt cheap right now. I have a few more stripped lowers. My next build is probably a pistol.

I will look into it more. I just worry about the laws. I do not want to build a gun I can not take out and shoot. I do not want to mess around with guns as they carry a big penalty. I have no record of any kind and def want to keep it that way. Maybe the guy I get my stuff can order me the parts, maybe he can do that, not sure how his license works.

Its called Tinfoil Hat, might be to deep for some but I am into that shit big time. Eddie Bravo will be there and he is def one my fav dudes. He is onto some cool shit.

Beat ass mud truck I think. Its a bit fucked up. I had this fleeting thought that I needed it to build a straight rock rig but nah... I'm skeptical on the eng too. Pics show the airbox being open. Idk he said it just needs a clutch to drive. Idk
