I recall reading that the glass bedsides can't support weight on the bed rails.

@excorcist, have you checked salvage yards using www.car-part.com for a color matching bedside?

Ok, so swapping the springs is more of a PITA than I want it to be. Where can I take these things to get done? I tried to rent spring compressors but they wont work because they wont fit between the coils, then I went and bought a set from harbor freight, but Im having the same problem. I made the mistake of calling 4WP to see if they can do it, but that was like talking to a brick wall. Any suggestions?

@xxmagpulxx got pics of the compressor you rented/bought? I know mine a tight fit but it worked. I tried calling around before and everywhere said no because I didn't purchase through them and they didn't want liability.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Holy shit. I pick the year to move when the area gets an assload-more-that-usual snow!!

Been in town now for 7 days, busy as hell with moving and getting settled in.

The smog “check” Washoe makes you do is too efficient. Who would think of letting the computers (on both ends) do the work? Not CA.

We went to Reno DMV office for all that silly stuff. 90 minutes and we squared away 2 licenses and 2 registrations (gotta go back and reg the beater). Friendly staff, did all the stuff with the same person and bonus coffee shop in the office. Definitely not CA.

My neighbors are a mix of oldsters and younger folks, all pretty nice. Generally, WTF - people around here say stuff like “please” and “thank you”. Where the hell AM I???

Anyway, biggest question wife and I keep asking is “Why didn’t we do this sooner?”

Unloading the other POD today, then I can go scout out some gyms and drag the oldest kid to the gun show.

Still a lot to do, but soooooo worth it. The only downer is waiting for my body to adapt to the altitude. You definitely notice it, and I didn’t think 5k feet would make a difference. Oops.

Figure I’ll give it a few more days and then get back into my workout routine.

This years snowfall is like how it used to be 15-20 years ago when there was snow on the ground pretty much all winter.

Now that your registered next year you can renew your vehicle from the smog place itself. Super quick and easy.

When renewing your registration at the smog place, just have the dude smog it, then go online and pay your registration. The guy at the smog place will charge a small fee to do the actual online renewal part with DMV. It's all really easy.

That would have taken 15 to 20 minutes at Fallon DMV.Drink more water. Between altitude & dryness you need more water (or beer)20190220_045942.jpg

Raley's has London broil on sale so it's time to make more beef jerky.
This time I'm making peppers and dr pepper again and I'm trying some cappuccino stout and some peanut butter stout too.
The cappuccino stout ☕ jerky has been on for an hour & smells great

I tried one of the sample pieces after 2 hours.
    OMG it's good

Ok, thought I would share this because I feel better now.
Got a set of spring compressors at Summit. Cheaper than the crap I bought at Harbor Freight. They fit and worked, the only thing is I have some touch up painting to do to the springs as they scraped some of the finish off of the springs but its not bad at all.

    I WIN! hahahahaha
