Nothing personal against people moving here, but when local authorities are pushing harder than ever to buy and develop BLM land because of how much we’re growing, meaning we’ll lose 90,000 acres of close to town off roading/open spaces to development, that ain’t cool. My favorite part of this state is the amount of BLM land we get to enjoy.

And the chucklefucks that dump their trash on the BLM land just make the landgrab easier. The amount of dumped (and probably stolen) vehicles in some of my favorite local spots has steadily increased over the years to the point that they cannot haul them out faster than the new ones are dumped. It sucks.

I used to be in the camp that supported letting states manage federal land because I thought it would be better to have local people accountable. But fuck that. The state or local cities just sell it off and fuck it up and we lose more public land. They should make it so it takes a constitutionally amendment or something like that to sell off National Forest/BLM land.

Living in south reno, i keep seeing them move further and further south and taking every plot possible. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm sure one day they'll be far enough into the hills, you won't be able to go offroading/shooting without some asshat trying to complain

I saved this picture to my phone the other day that someone posted on Facebook... pretty depressing to think what it looks like now. Thats the "new" geiger grade circa 1936

Wow. What is the approx date on that? I can understand building and expanding, but seeing that and the recent rate of expansion, i don't have a whole lot of hope

Edited original post. The guy that posted it on facebook said 1936.

I agree, the recent expansion is not promising for our area in terms of quality of life for many of our lifestyles. Im only 30 years old and I remember we had to take a dirt road to sage hills gun club(rip). That whole area was just pastures with a few ranches. Now it is mini California with a bunch of yuppy ass dudes and soccer moms late to practice.

Agreed. It’s got to be proportional with infrastructure. I feel like a lot of folks say ‘look at what Vegas has done’ but Vegas was smart with their road systems and planned for a lot of growth. I bet we could all name at least five bottlenecked roads that could use to be widened but don’t have room.

Yep. 26 here and have a place in one of the new developments. I remember when none of it was here and they're still building. Biggest complaint is you can't get anywhere in a timely manner anymore. Infrastructure can't support all of the influx. We'll see what happens. As I get older I'll either move up to the hills or up the mountain to at least be closer to skiing...or back to Oregon:anonymous:

I’ve been looking to sell my house in Old Northwest and buy new. Some of the new developments have huge year long waiting lists. Last weekend we went and toured a couple and it was a constant stream of CA plates coming into the sales offices.

Using Vegas is a horrible benchmark. Traffic down there is a mess and it's just suburban sprawl with neighborhoods of houses that architecturally look the same with just a different shade of tan paint. :puke:

Would anyone be interested in bilstein 6100, 5500 extended, all pro leafs, and spc uppers? Also, scs f5? Trading in the truck and can't bear the idea of just losing these parts on trade in.
