Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
I used those goofy hinged feet everyone raved about a while back (SmittyBilt, maybe?) I took some measurements of the inside of the roof rail and got some 3/4" x 1/8" flat bar from Home Despot aka The Bad Place. Measured center-to-center for the bolt holes on the feet, slathered the flat bar in Dykem and marked off my centers.

I chucked up the flat bar in the mill vise and shaved a little off the width so they would fit inside the rail, milled a slight countersink (.025 or so?) over the centers, then drilled the holes.

Finished off by running a tap through the holes and hitting them with some black spraypaint to reduce rustification. Been a while, but I think the bolts I got were 8mm x 1.25 (with the feet), so it was a metric tap, not SAE.

90% of what I did was me playing with the mill Because Machines. I opted for a single backing plate vs. 2 so I'd have more surface area in contact with the inside of the rail. I also think it made putting my junk together somewhat easier but YMMV.

I used what came with the uptop rack. They send a foot that is threaded that slides right in.

Any of you guys have some firewood I can buy off you? I have a little backyard chiminae and I've mostly burned through my pile of assorted fence slats and tree trimmings.

Can pay in beer or cash. Split or rounds is fine, as long as it's relatively dry. Just need an armful or two for evening campfires.

Any construction sites nearby? Usually plenty of scrap there which is perfect for the chiminae.

good call, I didn't think about that. Little bit worried about pallets and whatnot since they could be treated, but it might be worth taking a cruise around and seeing if there's anything to snag.

I say the same thing every time I drive home now. One side of 395 is now all warehouses, and the other side is all generic apartment buildings.

Wouldn't surprise me. They cleared that area for residential back in like '07 or something? Then it sat empty through the crash of 08. Figured it was due to that. It's all warehouses now though.

We'll be here a couple more years until the GF's grandparents pass, and then we're probably gonna roll out and head up North.

Just saying. I have drilled the wells on that property at my previous employer and now I work for TMWA. So I’ve been in touch with that project on multiple fronts.
