Hey, just figured Id let you know I ended up going with Meridian surveying, they are over near Double Diamond, They only charged $950 for the survey and marked several spots along property lines as well as all four corners.

$950 isn't too bad. I'm going to need to get our lot lines marked in the next couple of months. Thanks for the info @excorcist!

Absolutely. I know there is a common saying when getting construction work done to "Get 3 quotes" this was a lesson for me that it never hurts to get more. First three quotes were all ~$1.8k+... fourth quote was $3k, and then these guys quoted $950, were here within a week and got it done in two days.

I'll have to check with our contractor when we get to that step to make sure we aren't overpaying. He mentioned that it could be about $2k to get the property surveyed even though it's just a square lot that only shares one side with another parcel. If we end up saving $1,000 it will help cover a urinal in the garage build.

Thanks for the follow up. That was about what I was quoted too by a couple different companies.

I ended up actually scrapping my garage project and put my house up for sale and sold it in a day lol. Reno building department was limiting the size I could build and they were difficult to deal with as far as permitting goes, requiring way more plans and engineering than I thought was needed or what they originally told me for a simple 500 sq ft garage.

Hey reno peeps. So I am coming home on two weeks leave. I have been doing some digging around as far as where to get a ADS level 4 suspension kit installed in my taco. I have some tools but I dont have access to shops/ lifts and so forth. I wanted to see which places would be recommended in the reno/carson area for install shops. Of course there is 4wp, I had a bad dealing with them in the past. The kit is some ADS 2.5 front coilovers, rear ads shocks, and a OME heavy leaf pack. I remember ORI, but It appears they are out of business now. I found https://www.folbeck.com/suspension-alignment
and it seems they even do alignment and could do the install for me, as well as max my caster out to make some 285/70/17s fit that I bought. Does anyone in the are have any places they would recommend. All I can really find is this place, folbecks, I did see relentless fab but I do not think they do installs. I wouldn't even mind paying some cash +pizza and BEER to borrow some garage space from a TW member and a bit of help.

I’ve had my truck at folbecks a couple times for alignments and have been very happy with them. They even gave a solid rec for a company to do my exhaust relocate.

If you want superb quality work done, and you can wait a bit, I'd call Eric at Dr. Smash designs down in Carson. I've known him for 15 years, and he's done countless mods and upgrades to my jeeps. His own rigs are toyotas. He knows what he's doing.

Call him up and say some asshole kairo from reno4x4 told you to call.
