Im sure this is beat to death all over the forum but looking for some local advice. My old man bought his truck with Dakar medium springs. Now that it's got a shell, HC bumper w/ a swing out, spare, fuel, rack and 2 fat ass black labs in the back, it's darn near on the bumps. Has anyone added a leaf from the hd pack or even 2 from a xhd pack to thre medium pack? Would he be better off buying a new dakar xhds or going with a set of deavers orrr...? Open to advice.
    On edit, it's a 2017 dcsb.

I'd go with the icon rxt full packs. I paid 600$ for a set . Tax free and free shipping! No squeaking either

How much extra weight do you have in the bed and how long have you had them for?

I ordered the old Dakars and pulled a leaf...I believe that is similar to the new MD pack the sell. I have them in my garage and have been wanting to reinstall them since I put tue HC rear bumper on but haven't gotten around to it (it's only been 3 or 4 years....).

I'm guessing you could either have someone make a leaf to add to the pack or possibly even order the leaf to convert the MD pack to a HD pack.

How many leaves are in the pack currently?

I have a alu-cab canopy, 180lbs, CVT RTT 226lbs, awning 70lbs. aftermarket rear bumper 50lbs , tools and load bars prob 50? I do have my 45l fridge in the back periodically but since I got back from the PNW I took it out and plugged it in the garage. I have had the leafs for 10 months now. I did use the extra leaf that came with the pack, it is intended for the "heavy" loads. Prior I had some OME heavy leaf packs. I bought them used and regreased/lubes the friction plates with drylube, had no issues. Prior to that I had add a leaf. Over all I am very impressed with the RXT, for the price it was a steal and could not pass it up.

    6 total.

That's plenty of weight. I'll definitely check them out.

If that's with the overload leaves you're welcome to borrow the extra leaf I have to see if a local shop can make one to match. I'll need it back in about a month so I can install it on my truck.

It is the 3rd leaf in the pack that I removed (currently 4 plus 2 overload on my pack as pictured below).

I would go with another brand with that much weight. I have the HD dakars and my truck sits perfect with only my 120 lb Alucab. Fully loaded with camping gear it’s level.

So I just built a kegerator that holds two of the little 5 gallon kegs and it's time to fill it. Any place particular in Reno besides the breweries to get little kegs?

    Come on out!!!

A guy I work with said they do them, have to give them a few days notice though. I've been drinking Sierra Nevada hazy out of his keg and it's fantastic.

    I'll check them out!

Ive already got too many half assed hobbies. Besides I'm sure the learning curve is a steep one.

I've emailed them I'll see what they say.
