No clue how he managed to get himself in that shitshow of a predicament .. Im sure he had some explaining to do to someone. The driver was nowhere to be found when I pulled up, I would guess he got a ride from someone passing through. There was some skid marks from someone trying to pull him out and a chain still attached to the front of his truck.

It was my first time in this area, just east of Stag Mountain on the Charleston - Deeth Road... He was probably 40 miles from cell service / highway.

My brother ended up with a fcfs horns longer tag out there. Ended up taking a fairly average buck the day before we had to head home. This was the one we really wanted... shitty pic but he was solidScreenshot_20210906-162444_Gallery.jpg

Going by the steering axle and trailer angle I'm really wondering if he was going to try to turn it around.

Heck yeah congrats! That system is pretty cool IMO. Seems like a win win for people that can head out short notice and NDOW doesn’t have to eat the tag.

I was pumped when I got one, only to get smoked out by the Dixie fire blowing up.

What areas on mount rose are still accessible right now due to fires and do-able in a stock truck? Itching for some dirt this weekend.

    Stock....ish
Just go to Moonrocks and have fun out there. You'll be able to test how do-able a stock truck is.

Mount Rose is wilderness area so nothing is open to vehicle travel as far as I know. Peavine is open and has plenty of easy dirt trails.

Check out the Verdi side. The North side has a lot of trails blocked because of the cousin fucking tweekers dumping anything and everything on the mountain.

i am curious as well , the rose wilderness from what i have seen over the years is that most gates are locked. but that was a while ago. on another note, I just got one of my rifles set up for shooting with nods. I have a IR designator I would like to sight in. Does anyone have a laser boresight I can borrow for the task?

Gates are locked because vehicles are not allowed in the wilderness area. You can't even legally ride a mountain bike in wilderness areas.
