HCT might be fun and sketchy.

This is probably the best local option. Might not be snow unless you get up to the top but I'm sure it'll be a bit sloppy getting up there.

Gonna have to fill me in on what HCT is. I’m new to the area. Hopefully we can get some snow soon though.

I believe it’s Hunter Creek Trail.

I assumed it was Hunter lake trail. Snow isn't really holding on slopes under 7,500ft unless you find a north facing slope.

    Regarding info on FOA

This is a reposting from the Vegas thread but I just noticed this thread gets way more attention

    FOA
Hey Vegas people, I love to visit this area of the US but I'm not in your area right now.

Does anyone have any info or friends that know anything about FOA?

I'm not trying to bad mouth anyone at all. I know supply systems are f..ked right now.

I knowSEMA just happened and FOA was probably involved but they have had my girlfriends coilover shocks since the beginning of August and the past two months I call every week to check on the rebuild process. I was told that they could rebuild them in a week or so. I even sent the gaskets and seals needed (purchased from them)

Every Monday I call and they have said "the rebuild should be done on Wednesday, expect a call on Thursday" and that has happened for awhile now.

Anyone have any friends or info from this company? The trails close to us close over winter and we just want to get this rebuilt and back before that happens.

Im Located in NC. FOA has always answered my calls but unfortunately since they tell me the same thing evertime I just don't believe them. That's why I'm worried because I'm definitely being fed something.

    Any info is appreciated

How far are you willing to drive? Some excellent shuttles in or near town that are on a different level than peavine.

Can air down, got a mixture of lighter tow straps that probably should be higher weight rating. Shovel. Can bring a hatchet just in case need to use tree branch pieces as traction boards. After this Christmas I’ll be back from winter break with proper stuff. 1/2 foot of snow I should be good there’s always a chance for stuff to go sideways obviously.

What should they call you?

I'm close to the Caughlin side also and happy to help if available.

@vorkuta775 Conditions shouldn't be bad if you stay on the trail. I think the meadow is blocked again which is good because people kept running off trail there and getting stuck. The only snow will be close to the top on north facing slopes.

Haha, F that. When he texted me the price I literally LOL. Earlier in the day I saw a Westfalia, which I love, for sale for almost $25k. The market is dumb right now.

Not that no one wants to help but fyi Vegas is 7 hours from here. IIRC foa are a couple dudes selling foreign coilovers and viper springs. I’d expect you’ll get them back but sounds like whenever they have time and they’re definitely blowing you off. Can’t say I’m hugely surprised. I too have cheap coilovers and have received similar service from another china coilover company. Best of luck to you bro.
