Not going there in the near future but my brother-in-law lives in San Jose and we visit from time to time.
I see MJ posted this on the NorCal Express thread & I added Matt to it.
You could always pick them up, install them & then go on the Summer Overland Expo trip through Nevada. Or someone going on that trip can bring them back with them.

good idea. but Eric might be going to the NorCal camping trip, and if he does, I might go that route. It al depends on when he's down. I might just pay for it to be shipped so it can be ready for the camping trip.

    thanks though

A couple pics from a fishing and camping trip this last weekend. There was still a bunch of snow on the road back to Milton but once there it was epic conditions. Calm, warm, and surrounded by a bunch of hungry trout.

I need to install my new 4" lights just haven't found time

Took the GF down to Blue Lakes area yesterday to scout for some new camping spots. We were intent on taking the Tamarack Junction trail but the road was closed :( so instead we headed over to hang out at Upper and Lower Blue. Here are some pics we took along the way, hope you enjoy.

    Thanks Eric!

To get there take 395 South through Carson City and continue on to Minden. When you enter Minden you take a right onto route 88. Stay on 88 for about 15-20 miles and you’ll see a left turn for Blue Lakes. Once you’re on Blue Lakes road, take it all the way back to get to the lakes. There are a bunch of offshoot dirt roads that you can also take that are mellow but get you to the stream that runs parallel to the road.

    Have fun!

I haven't done any exploring in the hills south of Tahoe yet, but this looks like it's definitely worth a spin out there. Thanks for the heads-up!
