    AT Overland Summit,
HUGE up vote on the shovel being the better tool for a grass fire.

Put out a small fire (20 ft in diameter) on the side of I80 eastbound CA at mile marker 139 or so last Thursday 7/28 around 10 PM which was started by a truck whose brakes were failing. He had stopped and than rolled 1/4 mile down the road to the start of an off ramp. NO clue how he didn't realize a fire had started.

I've never shoveled so fast! it was a loosing battle until another couple stopped. 911 dispatch wanted to know my location which of course I wouldn't know, thank goodness for their being able to access GPS on one's phone. With traffic going past, the noise was too high to hear any questions. Fire was 5 ft wide when i went past and up to 20 ft wide and in the process of licking up a dead tree 5 minutes later. Singed hairs on my legs demands I get a longer shovel. I had two small 3 ft shovels. We had close to 10 gallons of what we dumped on it, but it was the shovels that made the difference.

Cops and fire crew showed up 15 minutes after we had it out. They hosed it down and turned the turf over with the beefiest hoe I've ever seen. Crazy thing was in the 15 minutes it took to put it out, no one else stopped. Where's the head shake emoji.

Weekend of September 3rd I'm going to run rubicon, bronco, or slick rock. I'm partial to bronco since I've never been there. PM me or reply here if interested and I'll start a thread.

I dont know crap about cameras but was scrolling fb marketplace and saw this listing. Don't know if sellers retail prices are accurate but even if they are remotely close maybe youd wanna see this? I know absolutely zero about photography or cameras or any of that other than I know they can be $$$$
And I saw you said your buddy has a D3100, so I assume the 3200 is close?

That’s actually a really sweet beginner setup. The D3100 is 12MP, and the D3200 is 24MP.

Not sure on the price point though. I was able to pick up a brand new D3500 from B&H, with those same lenses for $750. But there isn’t a huge difference between the 2. If I would have saw that before I might have just went and grabbed it.

it’s a decent little beginner camera, few lenses and extra batteries. If you are having the slightest inclination of getting into the hobby I’d say go for It. Nikon, canon , Sony, all three are great brands. If you get the bug and fall in love with the hobby you’ll eventually wanna upgrade. But remember. A 100000000$ camera wont take the best picture ever. Composition ,rule of thirds, all the
Proper techniques do. Go for it dude

I’ve always been a nerd for pictures as far back as I can remember. I just didn’t get too into it due to the price, but I guess now is as good of a time as any!! Pretty stoked. My brother in law is a professional photographer/videographer so I have people to bounce questions off of. That dude is flying around the world all the time.

Somewhere out there a few of my photos were published. In 2014 I did a low grade commercial for a company in Sacramento. It was total
Shit, low budget, pulled it off with a canon d60 and magic lantern firmware. It was a shit show. I’ll did some photo work for a member here for over a year while he built his new business it was fun. Now I just rummage about doing Astro stuff since it’s super rad. I got into drones about 5 months ago too. That’s another cool fun hobby I love. I scored a free mavic 2 two weeks ago. It had crashed and i 3d printed most of the parts for repair. Gotta go test fly it now
