Reno and surrounding areas: Official spotted, BS, and meets thread

Smoke wasn’t bad at my house today. An hour ago my AQI sensor spiked up to 430 but just dropped back down to like 15.

 

AQI was in the 80s yesterday, but its 150s this morning. alot of shit got canceled. like the bike of the west tour de tahoe today. 4th time this year its been postponed. no refunds people are PISSED! o well. its put a damper on road riding for a bit. hopefully we get some wind and rain.

 

Anyone been up around Denio lately. Know if they have fuel?

 

I have not, but I'd like to know too. Miss romping around in that area and the little one (5) deserves the same visit/adventure her big sister got some years ago!

 

Not sure but last time I went up there I called first to ask about the fuel situation. I’m sure it can change quick.

 

I have a client with an 031 rifle tag, so I'll be up scouting next weekend. I'll call before I head up and let you guys know.

Hey fellas. Are there ever and Tacoma/Toyota meetups in the area? I'd love to checkout some lift setups and maybe get a ride in a few. I'd like to get a Bilstein 6112/5160, Fox 2.0 or OEM Fox TRD Pro setup but don't really want to pull the trigger without a ride along first. I'm located up in Truckee/N. Tahoe.

My PM2.5 sensor peaked at 762 last night. Also the first time we have actually started smelling smoke in our house.

 

Yep, this morning first time smelling it inside too. We have four purifiers running. Sucks!

 

UNR cancelled all in person classes. My unpopular opinion is I don’t care. Zoom classes suck. And about half the students live in shitty made student apartments that fill with smoke anyway. The buildings on campus are generally better than my apartment building aside from the lecture halls.

 

There was talk about something end of this month beginning of next. @stickyTaco was the originator of the idea.

Also we had ash falling in Fallon this morning.

 

Side note with the smoke, we put Bosch hepa cabin filters in all of our cars and they really do work well if you're out driving in it. Of course we keep the settings on inside air but it just filters well as it circulates. We also found a good hack for inside the house. 3M 1900 20"x20"x1" filters strapped to box fans, really pulls the smoke out of the air and moves a lot of air compared to some other setups. Might look hokey but it works.
