Anyone by chance have a spare 33” tire of some sort on a 16” wheel I could buy for a spare? Or if it’s on a 17” I’ll buy wheel and tire. Or a factory third gen offroad 16” wheel?

Need to have a spare that I can use when I get my new tires, and I’ve got the steelie spare so idk if discount will do a 5 tire rotation for me where they’d have to unmount 2 tires each time.

so thinking just buy a different 33” even if used and worn just to have as an oh shit safety net kinda deal

 

I have 2 used but no plugs or cracked 285 75 16s for spares in storage. You can have 1 if you need a spare. no rim just tire.

 

Get a matching spare. That way you can do 5 wheel rotation and you don't have to worry about offset on the spare. I don't think a 285/75/16 will clear the UCA on the factory wheels without a spacer.

 

Anyone seen the 60-70lb tube sand bags in-stock in Reno?

 

I’ll take ya up on that if discount tire says they won’t do a 5 tire rotation where they’d have to un mount and re mount tires. Don’t have a 5th matching wheel but hopefully they let me do a 5 tire rotation

I’m picking up some 1.25” spacers today. Already planned to account for that but you are correct. Would rub UCA with the +25 offset or whatever it is

Fully agree. Which is why I’ll likely save a bit of cash now and just buy 4 tires and have a spare purely for oh shit moments

They were out earlier but got another pallet in today. Got a few.

 

Just ordered some 285/75/16 wildpeaks. With how worn my old set was the warranty credit ended up being pretty big. 780 for 4 tires ain’t bad with prices these days

 

How long did they last?

 

17000 miles. They’d be okay for another 2 k or so on road only. But not for winter. Lots of donuts and high speed off-roading might’ve contributed to that
