I had that bumper on my 21 SR. I bought it because my front bumper got pulled off the body by a fallen log while backing up/sliding sideways on really shitty mud on a trail in southern IL, right over the state border. I needed a cheap replacement, and I needed it fast because the taco is my daily driver. I got the tyger fury with the front plate (that's extra, without it you'll have all kinds of exposed shit under the bumper. It's not thick steel. And that "bull bar" is actually hollow and open in the back. I mounted rigid 2" spots to it and it was all right, they didn't interfere with the radar, either. It looks.... alright, imo. In another thread some guy thought it looked like this:

    download.jpg

But I thought it looked more like this (from the side):

Yes we did. It's insane how much property values have increased. I won't be selling anytime soon as this is truly my ideal town. I climb, fish and wheel. Bishop and the east side has more of all 3 then you could ever hope to do in a lifetime.

Bishop is a cool town. I remember having to take my brother to the ER after he got bit like 200 times by "gnats" while we were bouldering at the buttermilks in '94.

Do you need a bumper now? A viper cut is free (well, $20 if you put some door trim on the cuts) and then you're not $700 further away from the bumper you want.

Woah woah woah I've never looked into a viper cut...did you do it yourself or pay a shop to do it? It could be a nice placeholder until I get the bumper. I don't need one immediately but I really would like to get one sooner rather than later

Definitely something you can DIY. I have a 2nd Gen and haven't had issues with the bumper cover that have driven me to cut it (other than some clearance in the fender for tires) but a search of the 3rd Gen forum should get you what you need.

I'll see what I can find. I've been interested in cutting my fenders as well so maybe I'll do all at the same time or have a shop do it. Thank you!

I was running them up until a few weeks ago and they served me well, took lots of abuse and we're no louder than any other MT. I feel the Wildpeak MT's also run a little wider than most other MT's which I liked but I'd have no problem recommending them.

    ...too much shit to list.
I’ve run my set almost into the ground. Honestly a damn good tire for our terrain and weather. My biggest gripe is how much they weigh. But they are a tough tire for sure. Good in snow, great in hard pack and rocks, and crawl very well as long as you air down.

We have the Falken MTs on our 2nd gen.
Been on there about 5 years now and around 15k miles(not a daily driver) and they've worked well. Personally not a fan of the very round profile of the tire and feel they're not the most modern or unique looking MT, but they've been solid performers all around so I can't fault them for what they were designed for. Reasonable road noise and above average grip in all conditions, including offroad. Never had a flat and no chunking.

Sorry I slacked on getting back to your PMs. As stated I'd do a few CMCs on a weekend if there was the interest in doing so, but you're the only one that has followed through with that and my schedule is starting to get busier and busier with spring and Expo season approaching.

Appreciate the compliments and high regards!

I'd be interested in a CMC as well for a GX470. I was planning on doing it myself in my garage (have welder, will travel), but wouldn't mind paying for it as well depending on price.

    @Fosiconfiril

If you can't find anyone, I have all the shit to get this done and don't mind helping if you need.

That could work too. I'm no master with a welder though do not sure how much help I'd be in that regard! But not opposed. I appreciate the offer!!

Anyone in need of some 700lb front coilovers springs 3.14.700 or a tyger tonneau cover? Entertaining any reasonable offer. Trying to get rid of them both as soon as i can 20230310_123451.jpg 20230310_123251.jpg
