My money is on overtorquing and threading the drain plug on with a 500 ft lb impact.

Just saw the cancellation email. I was surprised they were going to attempt the camp this year.

 

The annual rubicon trip we usually go on was canceled as well. Too much water runoff and want to keep the trail nice.

 

Go do Fordyce instead. With the dam work flows are only about 100 CFS right now. That could easily change but worth looking into.

Not long ago I spent 20 minutes explaining to the Dolan "service advisor" (wet-eared kid with a #&!#* iPad and zero clue) that I wanted a transmission service on the wife's Highlander at 50k (lifetime fluid, my ass). He instead tried to sell me the differential fluid drain+fill. I finally got it across to him with the wife digging her nails into my arm.

Next time I'll figure out a way to get the thing to Carson and let them do it. Dolan is just....fail.

 

Yeah, plenty of open and accessible trails. I'm more bummed to be missing out on the camaraderie with my auburn jeep club peeps.

 

Any ham radio operators out there that are willing to help me set up a hand held?

 

What specifically do you need help with? Just programming in repeaters?

 

Yeah, I don’t remember how to do offsets and what not. Haven’t touched this thing in like 4 years. Son is showing an interest so I figured I’d fire up the old hand held.

 

Once you get that back up and running let me know if you want to meet up for a northstar day. Or shuttling tyro. I'm not the greatest rider but I can hold my own on most stuff aside from the super crazy double black off vista at northstar. I do all of boondocks no issue though. Still learning the stuff off vista.

 

For sure man, I'll have to get some more money first, looking to upgrade my wheel set to a full industry nine set. Just spent all my money on a bumper so it'll be a lil bit

 

I gotcha. Shits expensive. I might have to soon cus mines slightly bent to the point it can’t be trued 100% straight. Wheel sets is the component stuff I know absolutely nothing about so I’m hoping I can make it through this season but we’ll see

 

moving out to Reno starting tomorrow. Looking forward to a new place to explore and hopefully good food to eat.

 

Any of you guys got a weekend hookup on AC start capacitors? One of Ours went out today, tomorrow gonna suck balls. Happily will pay in cash or beer
