IMO the food here is pretty mediocre. Welcome to town though.

Yeah, that trail beats up IFS trucks. I've taken my 2nd gen through twice and vowed never again. Now I only take the 85 which is built perfectly for it.

Haha, that sucks but good since it protected what it needed to.

Your post got me to looking at old photos. First one is from observation point and then sluice. Good times!

Anyone know what the status of the Verdi side entry (by the fire station) to HLT is with all that construction going on over there?

I was through there a few weeks ago and you drive right through the middle of the construction, but it was open.

When are you thinking about heading up? I haven't been out that way yet this year and after my first day back from vacation I'm already ready to take a long lunch or an afternoon off.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
What's parking like for the truck+trailer up there? I drove up once long before construction, just in the truck, but never took the SxS out there. Seems/looks like a fun pile of trails to explore for the day with the kids.

I drove past a couple weeks ago, there were a bunch of trucks with empty trailers parked just SE of the access down there in a pullout area near the 80 east bound on ramp. IIRC there were 6-8 trucks and trailers with room to spare.

Unfortunately had to pull an audible today, trailer leaf spring was shattered, lucky to notice before our departure and even more lucky it didn't cause any issues on our last trip home. Decided to take the runner up to dog valley area while we wait for a new leaf spring.

That area is great for its close proximity though, Definitely no shortage of trails.
