There's a freaking pole line road next to the pavement. Those people in the traffic jam aren't from Nevada. But we already knew that.

Anyone have any use for some 2012-2015 Tacoma headlights? They are sun baked but no broken tabs and they clean up pretty well with polish. I was planning to BHLM and sell them but decided it's not worth my time.

Free to anyone that wants to save them from going in the trash.

Any additional info? Fully welded? Integrated fuel tank (size)? Scotty's included? Fish finder?

Can PM if needed. Might be interested myself, but can forward to a few folks as well.

Hate to bother everyone but: is there a best/good tint shop in Reno/Sparks area?

Muscle Wraps appears to be the only 3M dealer/installer around, not sure if they’re any good though.

I have tried so many times to tint my front windows and am ready to pay a professional.

2009 Crestliner Canadian 14 SC with a 2008 shorelander trailer (new tires on the trailer in spring 2022).

Boat is fully welded with a lifetime seam warranty. Comes with a pair of Scotty electronic downriggers. Motor is a Honda BF30D and it has a 6 gallon tank (not integrated but it has a compartment so it's not floating around the back of the boat).

Garmin fish finder installed currently. Also comes with a lowrance fish finder. Anchor, fire extinguisher, and life vests included too.

Cutting Edge on Greg St. is where I take all my rigs. We've probably had a dozen trucks done over the years from them and always had good service and quality.

I've used Cutting Edge in the past and been happy with their work.

Sounds solid. I am impartial to a 16' boat (had a 16' Smokercraft with 50hp for a long time), but 14' not out of the question. Will definitely forward along if the wife isn't keen.

Trimline did my audi and taco. Quality tint, good service but that was 13 years ago so I can't speak for anything recent.

I’ve taken a couple vehicles to them based on your recommendation a long time ago and have been happy.

Reminds me I need to take our new car down to get the front windows tinted.

Great to hear that! I like sharing my good experiences with local businesses to help support them, and hearing more positive experiences like yours helps me keep recommending those shops. Never like to hear somewhere get recommended and then someone having poor experience based on that recommendation.

Does anyone know when PG&E starts draining lakes for the season? I seem to remember September or early October?

Edit: Just looked at some pics from previous years and end of September they were already drained so I’m guessing they start after Labor Day weekend.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions! This thread has been wildly responsive in its great pointers (that recommendation for Drive Line & Gear Service for pressing bearings was solid), so thanks again for the help and I’ll try to not abuse it.

I took the truck to Cutting Edge early on Wednesday and their first appointment was late, so the installer said he could do my front two windows. Because I’d spent money on tools and time on attempting, I had a ton of annoying amateur tinting questions and he patiently answered all of them. I imagine it’s pretty annoying to have to walk people through tint options and answer the same questions day after day but he did it without showing any displeasure. Not chatty or salesy— just like a strong vibe of helpfulness and competence.

He banged out both windows in slightly under 30 minutes and had to remove my meager attempts at tinting too. It’s an older truck so he had to do the pattern cutting by hand.

Turned out flawless, I tipped him and headed out.

Inspected every inch when I was a few blocks away and it really was perfect. No lines no creases no dust no hairs nothing. All the edges were super clean and he managed to tuck it deep into the front corner so that you do not see any gaps in tint when you roll up/down. The installer has clearly been doing this a LONG time. No attitude or anything, just like a master of skill and the accompanying quiet competence.

TLDR: you folks aren’t wrong, Cutting Edge did a quality job in a short period of time and at an extremely reasonable price (easily $100 cheaper than what I was getting quoted at home on the Peninsula).
