Anyone who’s got their taco tuned having trouble at the smog station? I e seen where people are not able to get their taco registered because it’s not passing inspection. They are in other parts of the country, so that has me wondering if that’s a problem here.

I have not had an issue, even with long tube headers. Your truck just needs to show the readiness codes and as long and the tuner doesn't mess that up you should be fine. I used @JustDSM for the tune (he flashed a new ECU with the tune that I swapped in when the supercharger was installed).

I've been kicking around selling the mule and dumping the money into a t4r build.

The usual build nowadays. LS, super duty axles, atlas, on and on.

Hey, I just got my dmz SUA kit. I'm looking for a shop to install it once I have pieced majority of my rear end together. Would you guys trust Silver state or stellar built to install the kit? I'll also have whichever shop install a frame box kit too.

For a crawler you don't need the LS. The Atlas is a real bitch to make fit in a 3G 4Runner. I almost put one in when I was building my rig but between the extra work and price I went TG crawlbox with Marlin total spline input. For a big rock rig the 3G 4Runner is the perfect size, IMO. Hustles through the Dusy with minimal 12 point turns and has decent enough breakover angle to make it through Fordyce Winch Hills with just a little bit of work. lol

Can’t speak to Silver State but Stellar is a quality shop for sure.

Yeah, truth. This will be a trailered truck so I'm not sure how dumb it'll get. Probably not dumb enough before the wife cuts my purse strings.
