Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
The RV antifreeze is supposed to be non-toxic since it's for potable water systems.

It's "safe" but needs to be thoroughly flushed from the fresh water tank. It's not safe for plants and animals and isn't something we want to flush into the Truckee River.

It's also slippery if you get it on your fingers so I imagine it would be a friction reducer between your shoes and the ground. Just shovel and use some pet safe salt if you really need to put something on the ground.

The wind that hit after the storm didn't do any favors with the snow but it was nice to be first one through when patrol dropped ropes on the chutes today. They were even gracious enough to let me go first. On my second turn some sluff let loose and I started to wonder if i was the Guinea pig and she let me go first so she could dig me out...that's what I get for turning I guess :D

Next time we do a trail ride remind me to tell you about the stupid shit we did the first year of the chutes. I'm lucky I'm not dead.

Finally getting out of Elko in the next few months and headed to the area, is there anybody that does shock servicing locally?

Hi everyone! I'm new-ish to Tacoma ownership and living in Incline Village. First thing I bought for my taco was a new set of shoes - Blizzak winters - to put on the stock wheels, second thing was a set of the 17x7 4Runner SEMA wheels for non-winter driving.

Now that we're coming toward spring (but keeping my fingers crossed for that storm to deliver this weekend!), I'm wondering what kind of tires are preferred for light to moderate off-roading around Reno/Tahoe? A/T? M/T?

I'm leaning strongly toward skinnies, 255/75 or 80, in case that makes a difference.

This isn't my daily driver - sitting at ~2k miles since getting the truck new in Oct - so I'm not worried about highway performance other than getting to/from trails.

I’ve always run BFG KO2s and they have never let me down. Not great in wet or snow but very durable. I’m about to get some new tires and am also looking at skinnies. Check out the new Wildpeak AT4s. They come in 255/85/16 now which is a true 33.

I'm partial to either Toyo or Nitto. Currently have Toyo AT iii on my 4runner and Taco. Great in the snow, rain and plenty good off-road. Really good life so far at 15K. Any good AT or hybrid will be more then enough to get you through some trails. Once your experience level exceeds the tires then start looking into more aggressive tread.

i thrashed my e-rated duratracs off road, never a puncture, excellent grip in dry/wet/snow/ice. since this is my daily, going to give the micky thompson baja boss a try soon since a buddy has them and they are noticeably quieter.

E rated wildpeak at3ws are not any noticeable amount louder than stock was. Them and my truck combined are more capable than I am as a driver

I find the Duratrac to be a good compromise for a street/dirt setup with a tri-peak rating. If I was running a dedicated winter tire and didn't need snow traction on pavement I'd consider something else but they've been good to me. I replace them every 4 years regardless of mileage and I'm on my 3rd set now. The first two sets were 265/75/16 n a c rating and the current is 285/75/16 in an e rating. I've had one sidewall puncture on the c rating but the tires were older and I hadn't aired down.
