Precisely why they have been sitting behind my seats for 4 years and are going to stickyTaco. hopefully if/when my steering rack fails again I can get a tundra rack or that JD fab steering brace thingy (if I can make some sort of boots to keep mud out)

Was good to see some trees getting going again in areas that got wiped out years ago. Lot of trees abt 6-7 feet tall popping up out there

If you keep going up, about 3/4 way to the "lake" there's a cabin way off to the left side of the trail with a zombie mask hanging in the window. Nobody knows it's there except the people that know it's there.

There's another one of those little shacks on an unnamed hill off of winnemucca ranch road you can only get to with 4x4 and lockers. It's tucked into the mountainside and has a view of that entire redrock/lemmon/golden valley area of BLM land. I stumbled upon that one when I was chucker hunting and it honestly freaked me out. You'd never see it unless you walked right into it. Lots of old cans from the 1950's era, fire ring with a rusted cook spit above it.

On HLT, that last turn to the right before you go on the switchback, there's a little grove to the left that has aspen trees and a bunch of wild onions.

@InternationalHarvester or anyone else that knows, does the tune only make changes to the transmission or to the engine too? If the engine too, is premium fuel required or can regular still be used? Does it also adjust throttle sensitivity? This gear hunting is got old real quick.

Just moved in this weekend. Finally have a place that fits the GX. Have a ton of work to do to make it my own, but it's a good start for now.

Thanks, haha. Only downside for me is the location. I'm in a less than desirable part of Sparks, danger close to Oddie with lots of unsavory folks wandering around. I came from way south Reno and haven't locked doors to the house/cars/gates etc for years. This part of town has me not only locking everything, but looking into a security system, cameras etc. Will probably get better with time, but holy shit, this is culture shock for the wife and I.

I live in a nice area in north east Sparks and lock my doors all the time. I’ve got 4K cameras all around the house. With me it’s trust issues I don’t trust other people to act properly. I upgraded my old security cameras from 1080P to 4K just to get the higher resolution video. There was nothing wrong with them. If you’re interested in the setup it’s a Lorex 8 wired cameras and dvr. I’ll make you a good deal so I can get it out of my house.

Appreciate the offer. The weird thing for me is I have a 150+ pound dog. All the stuff in the house/garage is replaceable. I'm actually worried about someone breaking in and letting the dog out. He unfortunately, is not replaceable. A camera etc won't help in that instance. More just thinking of ways to avoid a break in at all costs.

Visible cameras are a good deterrent. I had a 65 lb dog and a 75 lb dog that people didn’t want to mess with. The visible cameras, I believe, keep people away when they know that they’re being watched. Plus this sign for fun.
