It’s close to us. Fingers crossed with the slowing winds we won’t have to leave, but bags are ready

I hope it gets extinguished quickly. Haven’t heard any news this morning yet on it. This is a picture from yesterday evening in nw Reno.

PS - the wife was driving and I was the passenger taking the picture.

I was golfing in Carson with my wife. Noticed the initial cloud of smoke and said "uh oh, that looks close to the highway". Wife said we should probably get home. I brushed it off and continued to watch it just explode. Sure as shit, ended up driving around 50 > USA Parkway > 80 back home. Was pretty crazy to watch it grow from nothing to the photos you guys posted.

Have been chasing a small coolant leak as quoted above. Finally got tired of trying to find it and decided to bite the bullet and just do a full timing belt, water pump replacement. Was due for WP/TB replacement anyway and figured I'd get it all apart and help to diagnose the leak.

Just hit 250k miles, so it's also time for new LCA's and bushings. Picked up new cam bolts as well. Have a trip planned in a couple weeks, so will need to get on all the work ASAP.

All the parts to do timing belt, water pump, fan clutch, and LCA's with new cam bolts for $2500. All OEM parts from Bell Lexus.

The GX will be down for a few weeks, but excited to get the work done.

This qualifies for enough damage to justify an HC rear right? Right?

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Old lady and I were out at your Sunday spot a month ago. Good times, but a little windy for her taste.

If you can justify it, then I definitely should have been able to justify it when I decided I didn't like the look of the rear quarter panel. Still thinking about it, just not yet ready to take a saw to it.

Could have, but my GPS app was showing USA Parkway as being only 3 minutes slower at the time due to 395/580 being closed. Made the call to hit the two lane the entire way considering truck traffic and more.

I had plans to buy a bumper this year, but I'm having a custom long range hunting rifle built, so the bumper will have to wait.:spending:

Why are there no relatively affordable 2dr wrangler rubicons without 170,000 miles on them. Harumph.
