Thanks for the writeup. Anyone that's having second thought about this trail, you'll be OK: between us we'll have plenty of recovery gear to get you through, should you get stuck.

Also, are we planning on going Boomtown to Caughlin? or vice versa?

I would suggest that we go from boom town for a few reasons. Caughlin is fun but going up the caughlin side is more difficult with the current state of the wash outs. And its much rockier. Also I think boomtown was super easy to gas up, air down, drive across the street and hit the trail. The last reason is the # of trails we can opt in to taking from the cauhlin side would be fun to do towards the end of the run imo, let those who want to play and those who don't just cruise and not have it hold any one up too much.

This should be a great run for anyone with a truck and at least 265's.

I agree with your suggestion. The only advantage to ending at Boomtown is that sweet trucker aircompresser airs you back up quick.

Are the wildflowers out yet at the big meadow? I'm debating whether or not to bring the Mrs.

Several members will have air compressors, myself included.

Not only are they out but in amazing form! There was several fields of them and with the water they received we are talking beautiful!

I ran the HLT with 28lbs of air and that was plenty fine for my little wheels. I know some guys were running 10 but I felt just fine.

LOL. I was just making a jab at the guy who ran HLT with us in a tacoma. He had a cooler of beer and did his best to finish it before the day was over. This was oddly the same guy who rolled his truck 3 times on a 2x4 trail......

You'll be fine. Those are plenty enough tire for this trail. Its only slightly rugged trail lol... but you really will be fine with those.

Is that the secret? Never would have thought of that.
Have you started the sierrahskyhighquatro build yet?
I was thinking 6" suspension lift & 3" body lift.
