2023 Lunar Rock DC LB Off Road

First of all, does a 2023 3.5L Tacoma have a “smart” alternator? If so what is a good source to tap the IgnD+ wire? Renogy says any 12v source when ignition is on. For those running this set up where did you tap?
I read a few threads about this but the trucks were 2nd gens.
