I think it all depends if the axle is bent. They will put another tire on and put it do an alignment to see if it is way off or not. If bent my bet is totaled... again speaking of experience of what they are doing to mine right now. I have a 2015, insurance offered me 28k today after all said and done (SR5 M/T with 70k miles on it, 100R Leer cap)

    Not a great comparison.
You have rocker panel damage he doesnt (rockers are welded on)
You have 2 doors damaged, he just has a bed side damage (doors are way more expensive than a bed side)
Your rear suspension is independent, so your rear subframe is probably bent, his solid axle took the hit, the frame just floats above it on leaf springs.

Probably fixable however, you are stuck with diminished value when you go to sell it or trad-in. Carfax will show everything.

You are probably exaggerating out of frustration in the moment but realistically an F-250 would probably be going about 3mph to do that damage to your truck. As others have said, I doubt its totaled.

No it won't. I've owned two vehicles that have been wrecked. Carfax didn't show either of them.

Yeah, Carfax is a bit of a joke. If you understand the difference between completeness and existence Carfax makes sense. Anything on a Carfax report happened but not everything that happened is on a Carfax.

Lucky you. If your VIN gets reported on carfax, it really hoses value and potential sales.

    All the things!
As others have said. Be sure to take a lot of pictures and inspect everything closely. For example, is the dent in the photo below preexisting?

    Who reports it to Carfax?

In 2007 ABC did an investigation into multiple water damaged vehicles from Hurricane Katrina being sold throughout the United States. Carfax had no information on these vehicles, as they can only report information that has been reported to them.

I think part of that was the massive volume of insurance claims made for flood damage there. Pretty much the whole state was totaled, and cars were written off in mass piles.

Lots of false information on Carfax reports. I heard trying to have the company remove it is a royal PITA.

If those were preexisting, they are now!!!. from this accident. It was from parts flying off their truck....wink-wink. Price they pay for being a dumb ass backing into your truck.
