Repairing OEM flares?

    So I want to repaint, derp, or bedline my flares to make them look new again.

    However, they are really chipped up. I'm assuming it's fiberglass?

    I've never worked with fiberglass before so I am wondering is that the only way to repair the flares? Can I use some sort of other filler?

    Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, but you probably get the idea. In the pics, all those white specs are chips and the biggest one is pretty deep.

    Best way to repair the chipc would be to use bondo. Apply it with a plastic spatula, let it cure, then sand flush, prime, paint, and done!

    My guess is the 1st Gen's are plastic like the 2nd Gen's, not fiberglass.

    Its easy, unless you use a shit load of hardener. Follow the instructions, and mix a little at a time. Take your time, and they will turn out just as new.
